Youmei
Liu
Dr. Youmei Liu works in the
Division of Educational Technology and University Outreach
at the University of Houston. She develops faculty training
programs, and provides professional consultation related to
quality course design and effective integration of
instructional technology. She conducts research and
currently is in charge of several major campus-wide
research projects of evaluating instructional technologies,
such as mobile devices used in instructional delivery,
assessment application to improve student learning
outcomes, and classroom performance system to enhance
teaching effectiveness.
She has published broadly in different areas related to
instructional technology integration and distance
education. Her research interests cover faculty
development, academic assessment, instructional technology
evaluation, cross-cultural online learning, development of
learning communities, and the integration of instructional
technology in teaching and learning.
