George Saltsman

George Saltsman is the Executive Director of the Adams Center for Teaching and Learning at Abilene Christian University, which follows almost a decade of service as ACU's Director of Educational Technology. As Director of the Adams Center, Mr. Saltsman oversees a staff of educational technologists and trainers who provide support for classroom teaching and educational innovation. More than 96% of faculty each year voluntarily attend enrichment and training sessions at the Center. Saltsman's education includes a BS in Computer Science and an MS in Organizational and Human Resource Development.

With Kaye Shelton, he is co-author of An Administrators Guide to Online Education (IAP 2005), which systematically identifies and discusses seven key issues that affect the practice of online education today: leadership and strategic planning, policy and operation, faculty, online student services, online student success, technology and the courseware management system, and marketing. As one of the original developers of ACU's "Connected" mobile-learning initiative and with more than two decades working in educational technology, Saltsman has presented widely on the integration of technology in higher education. He is a university instructor in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication and an electronic publishing consultant.
