Noland
White
Noland White is an Assistant
Professor of Psychology and currently the Interim Director
of Retention and Advising at Georgia College & State
University (GCSU) in Milledgeville, GA. He previously
received both his B.S. and M.S. in Psychology from GCSU and
joined the faculty there in 2001 after receiving his Ph.D.
in Counseling Psychology from The University of Tennessee.
Dr. White is also a licensed Psychologist in GA and has
worked as a consultant in a variety of settings including
adult mental health, developmental disabilities, and
juvenile justice.
When not teaching at GCSU, he has an active research lab
and with his students, is currently investigating the
psychophysiological characteristics and neuropsychological
performance of adults with and without ADHD. Outside
of the lab, he is engaged in collaborative research
examining the effectiveness of incorporating iPods,
podcasting, and other uses of technology in and out of the
college classroom to facilitate student
learning. In April 2008, he was a recipient of
the GCSU Excellence in Teaching Award and is the co-author
on the second edition of Sandy Ciccarelli’s
Psychology [Ciccarelli, S. K. & White, J. N.
